day nine: faceless self portrait

It took me a while to figure out what I would take for a faceless self portrait.  Sort of any oxymoron.  I had to ask some people, finally, I came up with this.  This is the necklace that Ben gave me for Mother's Day.  Both of the kids initials on it as well as their birthstones.  My kids are everything to me.  I don't love anything more than to come home to tight neck hugs and words of their days.  Nolan now has full conversations with me, today telling me he fell off the slide and hurt his nose.  I asked him if it bled and it hadn't, however, everyone else that he told his story to were in fact told that it did bleed.  Ella is so smart and full or stories these days.  Stories that are not true, but they aren't necessarily lies, because she adds a twist that makes it seem like it was really meant to be that way the whole time.  I can't wait for them to start school again, oh the adventures of a kindergartner and two year old.
